Compare card solitaire formats and choose the kind of layout you want to solve.

Solitaire is a family of card puzzles rather than a single set of rules. In Klondike, cards move between tableau columns and suit foundations. Spider centres on assembling sequences, FreeCell uses temporary holding cells, and TriPeaks follows a different card-removal rule.

Choose a format first, then open a matching game or collection. A collection can contain several rule sets; its menu choice matters more than the shared cover. Check the game page before expecting a particular draw count or number of suits.

If you are learning, start with the rules of one variant. Once its legal moves are clear, comparing another format becomes easier.
